History

The founding of KESHO ACADEMY was inspired by a catastrophe that hit the ARYEE family of Nii Boi Town Accra. On April 4, 2009, death laid its icy hands on 19 years old Lovia Naa Ayikoole Aryee the daughter of the founders of KESHO ACADEMY, Mr. and Mrs. ARYEE. This unfortunate occurrence therefore ended what otherwise would have been a promising future for an academically brilliant young woman. The short life of Lovia was marked by a demonstration of Academic astuteness that was admired by all that met her. In recognition of her academic brilliance whilst alive and as a source of inspiration to the youth towards the attainment of academic excellence, the family decided to establish a school to eternalize the name LOVIA NAA AYIKOOLE ARYEE.

The Project Kesho therefore, has 3 main objectives:

  • To build a private preparatory school (Creche through to JHS) as a monument dedicated to the Late Lovia Naa Ayikoole Aryee. The School while serving as a cradle of academic excellence and thus a vehicle for the development of future leaders, will also be a means to eternalize her name.
  • To Bring close to the community and beyond, quality but affordable education through a basic school project that will provide the opportunity for children irrespective of their race, ethnicity, religion or family financial status, to be raised and nurtured in a well-resourced facility located in an enabling environment to prepare them towards a successful future.
  • Furthermore, Project Kesho is to provide an opportunity for a young talented Ghanaian work force to exhibit their acquired knowledge and skills through the successful development and management of a profitable business model while at the same time earning dividends by being gainfully employed.
  • The mentioned objectives were to be attained through the development of an edifice that has all the relevant resources that will provide the necessary fulcrum for the development of children at the preparatory level prior to their enrolment in High School.

On the 8th day of Jan 2018, with a pupil population of three, Kesho Academy as a school was born with a determination berthed in the belief that The Future is Now!!! There was a test run involving creche, nursery and kindergarten at the onset. The full school up to Primary school commenced at beginning of the GES Academic calendar for 2018/19. By the Grace of God, the school has been growing from strength to strength.
